In a world where the voices of young people are more critical than ever, the convening of the 24th World Teen Parliament (WTP) session, on December 16, 2023, provided a platform for inspirational leaders to share their experiences and insights, leaving a lasting impact on the minds of attendees. The session kicked off with an invigorating address by Hon. Dr. Frank Habineza, the Vice President of the Social Affairs Committee in Rwanda's Parliament.

His wealth of experience served as a testament to the transformative power of long-term dedication to public service and stood as an example for teens.

The session continued with Hon. Ryan Straughn, Minister in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs in Barbados, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to engage with the youth at WTP. He emphasized the importance of quality education for teens and shared his journey of seizing the authority to be their voice. His insights shed light on pressing issues such as digital job opportunities post-pandemic and the need for sustainable tourism.

Throughout the session, teens from various corners of the globe posed thought-provoking questions to the speakers, touching on topics ranging from climate change to digital privacy. Mr. Krainer's statement, "Everybody is born with the same rights and dignity and has one life," resonated deeply, highlighting the universal values that unite humanity.

Finally, the session concluded with remarks from Mr. Daksh Gaur, underscoring the importance of empowering young leaders to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
