Jyoti Kumari is a 15-year-old girl who has redefined grit. As the lockdown was announced, she with her father was stuck in Gurugram. Her father, an auto-rickshaw driver was injured a few days back, and had to return the borrowed vehicle. Stuck with no source of income, they decided to return back to their native.
The courageous teen with the little money they had, purchased a bicycle, made her injured father her pillion and peddled 1200 km for seven days to reach their hometown, Sirhulli in Bihar.
Brave Jyoti has now been offered different awards, recognition, education sponsorship as well as donations from people and organizations from around the world for her audacious act.
Jyoti Kumari's story serves as a powerful reminder of the human spirit's ability to triumph over seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
